Digipack

What is a digipack?

It is a type of CD box, usually used for special editions or re-released albums. It is usually a folded piece of cardboard with a CD case in the middle. Sometime they might contain postcards or a booklet to accompany the CD. Digipack style case grew in popularity among record labels and recording artists in the early 2000s. Digipacks are made to promote the sales of the artist, just like the music video. Digipacks are still popular with record companies as they give the fans a reason to buy a CD and not just download the content.
